Richard Kresser has lived his life by adventure and is an all mountain athlete. Primarily a mountaineer and ultra distance trail runner with six 100 mile finishes, Richard is also well rounded with years of experience in mountain biking, skiing, orienteering, technical rock climbing, ice climbing, and kayaking under his belt. In 2013, Richard was the first person to run the annual bike ride RAGBRAI, 416 miles across the state of Iowa in seven days. In 2014, he led two successful independent expeditions to the summits of Denali and Aconcagua, the highest points on the North and South Americas. A former US Army Engineer Captain and Sapper, he has now transitioned out of the military to pursue a career in the outdoor industry. Richard brings a wide breadth of experience to the team with his backcountry guide and ski patroller experience, and is now Race Director for the NW Epic Mountain Bike Series and the Evergreen Trail Run Series.
